We want to create a transportation system with more options that allows us to leave the cars at home. But building that type of system is hard work and requires a lot of research and input from Central Floridians like you.
We know that as a teenager, you look forward to getting your license, the keys to the car and gaining your independence. However, have you thought about saving gas money by taking the bus? Or riding your bike and getting some exercise at the same time?
BUS, BIKE OR BOTH?
Riding your bike to school or a friend's house can be a lot of fun. You and your friends can do it together, and you can travel with more friends on bikes that you can in a couple of cars.
These Central Florida students choose to ride their bikes to school. They know that riding together is safer, and that is why they created the Bike Bus. Just like a school bus, they pick students up on the way to school each morning.

The Transportation choices you make have a direct effect on our air quality. Choosing to ride your bike or the bus means less traffic and fewer emissions being released into the air. (Not exactly sure what emissions are? Click here to learn more.)
- Turn off lights at home to use less electricity
- Encourage your parents to turn off their engines while waiting to pick you up
- Recycle your paper and plastic good
